International Experience Canada

LEAD SPONSOR

Are you ready to gain international work experience and explore the world? The International Experience Canada (IEC) program, brought to you by the Government of Canada, offers young adults aged 18-35 an incredible opportunity to live, work, and travel in Canada—and for Canadians, to embark on exciting work adventures in over 35 partner countries and territories! Whether you're seeking to broaden your career horizons, develop valuable skills, or immerse yourself in new cultures, you can set off on a new adventure that can last up to two years, depending on the country.
There are two main types of work permits: open and closed. Open work permits provide the freedom to explore multiple job opportunities throughout your stay, while closed work permits are tied to a specific employer, ensuring you gain focused, career-oriented experience. These permits fall into three amazing streams:
Working Holiday: Travel and choose your job upon arrival with an open work permit.
Young Professionals: Advance your career with a closed work permit tailored to your professional growth.
International Co-op (Internship): Gain hands-on experience in your field of study with a closed work permit designed for internships.
Each country may have a different name for these streams, but you can easily find the details for your destination country on our website: www.canada.ca/iec.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through the IEC program is excited to support Bear’s Lair Dream Camps, connecting young Indigenous entrepreneurs with potential opportunities abroad. This is a chance to learn about your business, grow your skills, and tap into international markets that are waiting for your entrepreneurial spirit!
